Brian and Angelene met through a mutual friend during their freshman year at Penn State. They saw each other in passing from time to time, but it wasn't until their junior year when Brian decided to shoot his shot! It all started with a shoutout when Brian saw Angelene on campus in between classes. Shortly after, he decided to play it cool and reach out through a facebook message to get her number. Naturally, their first date was dancing the night away to early 2010 bangers in a frat house (probably followed by some late night Canyon pizza). Angelene and Brian bonded over their love of music and adventures, falling in love along the way.

Post-college, Angelene and Brian both moved to Philadelphia as Angelene started optometry school and Brian started his career. Brian didn't realize that his beautiful eyes would be put to use, as he graciously allowed Angelene to practice on him as she learned new skills. Philly was full of Sixers games, nights at Frankie Bradley's and trips to Rita's Italian Ice.

After 4 years in the city of brotherly love, Angelene and Brian moved to Maryland in 2020, where Angelene completed her residency at the Baltimore VA and Brian started a new job in Bethesda, MD. Living together for the first time in a small apartment in the midst of stay-at-home restrictions was quite the transition, but Brian and Angelene always found a way to keep things fun. Following her residency, Angelene accepted a job in Richmond, Virginia where the happy couple has resided since 2021.

Brian and Angelene got engaged on October 2, 2022 in Capri, Italy. Brian planned a private dinner at hotel Caesar Augustus. Before dinner, Brian asked the waitress if she could take some photos, and that's when Angelene knew that something was up. With his heart racing and emotions pouring, Brian got on one knee to ask Angelene if she would spend the rest of her life with him. They celebrated over some Italian cuisine, followed by a night full of dancing and limoncello spritz at a local nightclub.
