Our Wedding

Hello! Let us introduce ourselves! We are Angelia and Jarrod and we are about to get married! We met back in 2016 and we met online. We went on one great first date and then went our seperate ways. In the winter of 2019 we reconnected and the rest is history! Not really, I guess I can tell you what happened. We decided to be friends and not push anything. But we both knew there was something pulling us together. Whether it was crossing each others minds throughout the years or thinking about our first date. I (Angelia) asked to meet finally after a few months and guess what I had him do. I had to go dress shopping for a black tie event and asked if he wanted to come with and he actually said YES! He even held my purse as I changed and helped critique each dress I tried on. We had hung out for a couple months and talked on the phone for hours each night (yes we are old enough to actually have done that!) One time we were hanging out and we had heard his family having suspicions that he was seeing someone. I (Angelia) remember him saying that his mom asked if he had a girlfriend and he turns to me and goes So do I? and of course I said yes. One of the many times I will Say Yes in our relationship! We are actually a pandemic Couple as we started dating a little over a month before the Covid-19 situation happened! February 2, 2020 to be exact! Did you know that date is a Palindrome? Which means it’s the same forward and backward! Remember that for later! So we had to get creative and active about date nights. Thats when we picked up doing puzzles. We would go on walks frequently and cook together. I (Angelia) remember when I first met his mother, I was terrified! It was her baby boy! I also remember Jarrod telling me that his mother asked how old I am. (understandable as I look 18) We made a promise to see each other at least once a week. And we are proud to say that the only time that didnt happen is when Angelia got Covid! From vacations in Omaha, Deadwood, Minneapolis, and Florida, to celebrating birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries; we have learned a lot about each other! Like how Jarrod has had full conversations with Angelia while still asleep! Scary! Or how Angelia will ever so slightly say AH when Jarrod drives, anywhere! And how many times Jarrod got injured as a child, spoiler alert it was A LOT! Angelia was the book nerd in her younger years and still enjoys reading and learning about Psychology! Jarrod can talk about Chevy cars for hours and Angelia still doesnt know what hes talking about! Or how much Angelia LOVES Christmas! You’ll see just how much she does at the wedding ;) Now, I know you want to know the most important story right? The Engagement! How did Jarrod Propose?? Did Angelia Cry?? Where did it happen? Did Angelia See it coming??? It was October 2022 we were in Florida with Jarrods family for a family vacation. Angelia had such high hopes Jarrod would propose at Disney World. another spoiler alert, he didnt. It was the very last day before we were to head back to South Dakota. Angelia had lost all hope she would be coming back a fiance. It was time for family photos on the beach. The photographer was super nice and it was windy and kind of chilly actually. We took some photos and then took a break to wait for the sun to set some more. Jarrods neices and oldest sister called Angelia over to some rocks to look at shells. Well, we had only been looking at shells for the past 3 hours so she didnt really get excited. But went along for the kids! One niece went look a sand dollar! (Angelia still has this Sand dollar) after that the photographer said she was ready for us again. Angelia walked back to Jarrod and she sees this Jack and Sally Figurine she wanted at one of the souvenir stores (from the Nightmare Before Christmas). Jarrod: *gets down on one knee* Angelia: *points* ITS JACK AND SALLY!! Jarrod : Do you see what it says in the sand? Angelia: yea *awkward yes cause well, public and strangers are seeing this!* Jarrod: so will you? Angelia: YES! No Angelia did not cry, but she was very elated! Did Angelia see it coming? She did not! Not until a few minutes before it actually happened! She saw his sister hand him something behind his back. Also, his sister went up to the photographer to tell her about what was going to happen and her mom shushed her! Sometimes it’s not fun to have good hearing! Some strangers even clapped for us and then came all the tears from his family! We had a big group hug and laughed and went to celebrate! He didnt actually have the real ring. It was stilll being made so he bought one on amazon as a place holder and guessed Angelias ring size wrong! (even though I told him over and over lol) It was so hard to keep this a secret until we got back home! We did tell close family and friends and wanted to wait until we got the photos from the proposal to post it online. So that was a couple of weeks! And then the wedding planning started!!! All the advice and warnings were coming in from everyone. It was overwhelming! Jarrod actually picked the date and suggested the theme! And that brings us back to the palindrome idea! Our wedding date 4/20/2024 is also a palindrome! Which means it’s the same backward as it is forward! So here we are, we’ve come full circle! We are excited to spend this day with all of you and are counting down the days! Please check back periodically for updates! God Bless!
