Joe and Angelica met while pursuing their undergraduate degrees at their local community college. Over the spring semester of 2011, Joe and Angelica became fast friends and confidants, until Joe plucked up the courage to ask Angelica out later that summer.

That summer excursion, a Maroon 5 concert at Ravinia Festival, proved to be the litmus test for their relationship, as not only would it turn out to be their first date, but would also be the first time Angelica met Joe's lovely family. To be fair, she was warned ahead of time :)

Thus began the "never ending" story. Over the next ten years, their relationship would see them through two degrees at different universities, new careers, travel to new places, a big move to North Carolina and many shenanigans along the way.

To the delight of their families, as the world stopped in 2020, Joe and Angelica's next adventure in life began. After a romantic 10th anniversary dinner at a favorite Italian restaurant, Joe brought Angelica to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, not far from where it all started. While walking over a particularly picturesque part of the gardens near the lake, a number of Joe and Angelica's closest friends and family popped out from behind a hedge. Confused, Angelica began greeting the group, slowly a few friends turned her to face Joe, who had gotten down on one knee through all the commotion. Happily, Angelica said, YES!

Though this celebration has been a long time coming, we are both so excited to finally celebrate this never ending story with you all!!!
