Meeting for the first time

Jacob and Angelica first met back in August of 2016&nbsp;&nbsp;on a young adults retreat&nbsp;through their home parish of St.&nbsp;Leo the Great. Angelica was on team and Jacob was a retreatant. During a group activity both exchanged light conversation. &nbsp;Annndddddd that was it. No sparks. No googly eyes.&nbsp; Just a simple&nbsp;conversation.&nbsp;











A growing Friendship











Over the course of that&nbsp;year, both would casually run into each other when hanging out with mutual friends. All the while this friendship was slowly growing, Jacob started to&nbsp;develop&nbsp;an&nbsp;interest in Angelica. (He totally denies this but it's true ya'll.)&nbsp;&nbsp;He felt that&nbsp;everytime they spoke,&nbsp;his appreciation for her grew. They shared many conversations about life, goals, their&nbsp;mutual love for tacos,&nbsp;but most&nbsp;importantly how they viewed Christ. While mutual friends encouraged them both to grow&nbsp;their relationship, both knew that if&nbsp;something was&nbsp;meant to happen that it would be done on it's own time.

New Years Eve 2016 was the night that you could say some sparks flew!&nbsp;Deciding to ring in the new year with a group of friends,&nbsp;Jacob got a little&nbsp;brave and gave Angelica a kiss on the cheek. She loved how patient he had been with her and decided to give their possible realtionship more thought.&nbsp;Soon after,&nbsp;they decided to enjoy an&nbsp;afternoon at the Oblate Missions and see the Lourdes Grotto. While sitting in front of the outdoor alter where mass is celebrated, they both finally decided it was ok to enter&nbsp;into a new relationship together and quickly realized this was something very real. Angelica began to truly see Jacob as someone she could grow with and love. And this is where their relationship took off!!!











The proposal











Over much time,&nbsp;thought & many margarita dates,&nbsp;Jacob knew he had found his forever lady&nbsp;and&nbsp;wanted to propose&nbsp;in special way. He knew how much Our Lady of Guadalupe meant to Angelica and decided to incorporate that into their special day.&nbsp;On November 25, 2017 Jacob took Angelica & her parents to the exact same spot where they had shared their&nbsp;first date. They walked the grounds&nbsp;of the Grotto sharing stories of&nbsp;their interpretiation of God's journey on Earth. After spending a few moments in Adoration together, Jacob said he had bought a candle for them to light upstairs where the Virgin of Guadalupe was. Upon lighting their candle, they prayed for continued growth in their relationship. Jacob knew this was the moment to drop to one knee and ask her the big question. Without any hesitation Angelica&nbsp;said yes!!!

The Lord knew what he was doing when he put Stephanie in my life! We met at Texas State our freshman year and became roommates a year later. Throughout the next four years, we lived life floating the river, celebrating nights at the square and most importantly&nbsp;grew together through our faith and became sisters. Eight years later we are still as close as can be and love each other to the moon and back!

Joshua is my younger brother and has always been a good example of a man of God and what a dedicated man of faith should be. I can always depend on this guy for great advice and a good case of arm wrestling. I'm grateful to have him stand by my side &nbsp;on one of the most important days of my life.

Jeremy is my older brother and encouraged me to find my way back into my faith. He continuously encouraged&nbsp;me to go to Faith Sharing and open my heart to God. This&nbsp;eventually led to my first encounter with Angelica, which has changed my life for ever.

We have shared many laughs over margaritas and I'm way toooooooo excited and lucky to become an aunt to her two amazing boys!!!!&nbsp;I can't wait to continue growing our sisterhood and becoming closer!&nbsp;

Sarah and I met as pledges while rushing for Mu Epsilon Theta. Without a doubt she was the sweetest soul I had ever met. Through many nights of studying in the library, making moves on the dance floor (the only ones sometimes I might add) and surviving our senior year in a broken down apartment (those broken stairs!) we cherished many moments of just living life and looking forward to our Mija Mondays at a local mexican restaurant&nbsp;where we would talk about our dreams and ambitions for hours over margaritas. So grateful to God for giving me this southern sister!

I met Michael through a retreat at&nbsp;church at St. Leo's. We have grown&nbsp;to be great friends ever since that&nbsp;retreat. His level headedness is something I admire&nbsp;and he has&nbsp;always been a good friend&nbsp;to talk to.&nbsp;

My sweet Courtni! I met this beautiful face in college and we instantly became so close! She was the girl to always have my back, take my contacts off after a night of dancing, my beer pong partner, my ride or die, my prayer sister and so much more!!!! Thanks to her, I&nbsp;was able to fall in love with Jesus again and again! She always helped me get back to Christ when I needed it. I'm truly blessed to have her in my life!

Stephanie is by far one of my favorite women I&nbsp;have encountered while moving to San Antonio. We met at our home parish St.&nbsp;Leos and I knew her heart was made of gold. She has such a giving soul and always knows how to make me laugh! I am lucky to know someone as amazing as her!

I met Marco through Michael. Marco is super energetic and is knows how to live life. While getting to know Angelica, we would spend many evenings all together&nbsp;cooking and making memories.

We cheered together in high school and by the grace of God our friendship has remained into our adult years. I love her dearly!!!!
