Our love story isn’t just any love story — it began in the heart of Weslaco, Texas, at the oldest local Italian restaurant, a place rich with history and love, founded generations ago by Michael’s great-grandparents.What started as a simple friendship slowly grew into something deeper and more meaningful — a love built on shared dreams, laughter, and long shifts in the kitchen.Michael was the chef, the star of the show, bringing his Nonna’s recipes to life with passion and skill. I was just starting out as a server, learning the ropes of the restaurant world. From teaching me how to properly make a salad, to fixing my order mistakes, to always having a warm meal ready for me after every shift — Michael showed me kindness, patience, and care.In between the rush of dinner service and quiet moments after closing time, we built a bond like no other. And now, that bond is leading us into forever.Michael and I made the decision to remain friends — holding onto a strong bond rooted in pure love — so I could pursue my education while he followed his dream of owning a food truck.Through constant connection, unwavering friendship, and most importantly, God’s guidance, we stayed close even while chasing separate paths.In His perfect timing, God brought us back together — and this time, it was to build a forever life.
