When we first met each other we both were completely unprepared for the instant connection and the bond we would feel with each other.
We met at a small pizza restaurant called “ Windy City Pizza” He was the cook and I was the delivery driver. Over time we started to talk and interact with each other a lot more . It was so easy to talk with one another. There was never a struggle to keep a conversation going or simply enjoy each others company, even when there was nothing to do but just be with one another.
Eventually we hung out outside of work. We had become familiar with each other and we had both opened up to each other more then we had with anyone else. We were practically inseparable, besides the times I had to go home or he did. LOL. After a month of getting to know each other Christopher got sick with Covid. I did not test positive for Covid but was still feeling sick. We both had to quarantine. That’s when Christopher had a great idea that we could quarantine together and I immediately said “absolutely! I would love to”. Who could say no to that!? I packed up my things and went over to his apartment at Grandview in Breckenridge, Colorado. (Our first big fast step in our relationship. Before we even knew what we were to each other we quarantine together for two weeks. That two weeks changed everything for us for the better! I would start bringing small things over to his place like clothes, my tooth brush, my whole closet and well my cat.LOL. From there we were practically living together and by practically I mean I full blown moved in to apartment. Trust me he loved it. Within a year he had met my parents and my brother. That upcoming thanksgiving we drove out to Texas where I got to meet not only his mom and his sister, but his whole family! It was super overwhelming and crazy but the entire time all I felt was happiness and loved by him and his family.
That December following Thanksgiving, we decided to go snowboarding and as we were riding the chairlift to go to peak six , he got onto one knee on the chairlift, while it was moving! He popped the question and proposed to me with a rose gold rose shaped promise ring. It was so gorgeous. Before I could even think about my answer or if this was a joke, if this was real, my main concern was that he had to sit down so he wouldn’t fall off the chairlift so I was begging him to sit down. He said he would sit down if I said yes. So I blurted out “yes ! I’ll marry you.” And he sat down and when he did, I asked him if he really meant it and if he really wants to marry me, I wanted him to ask me again, but I want him to have one knee down on the ground. When we reached the top of the chairlift and got off, he kept his word, he got on one knee and he proposed to me. I was so happy! So excited and I yelled out “ I’m engaged!” And everyone around us started clapping and cheering and in that moment, I was so happy and so thrilled to have found my person.
We have gone through lots of ups and downs, and I'm sure we will continue to but we are united as one and there is no one else in this world I would want to figure out life with other then Christopher. We are so blessed to have found one another and we are excited to share our journey and adventure with you all.
