82 Days To Go!

From Zoom Calls to "I Do"

In the strange, screen-filled days of early 2021, when the world was still huddled indoors, a boy—a sharp-eyed supervisor at a busy investment firm—met a girl, the newest spark on his team. COVID lockdowns had turned their office into a grid of Zoom boxes, but even through pixelated smiles and awkward mute-button mishaps, something clicked. The boy’s dry humor and knack for keeping the team on track caught the girl’s eye, while her quick wit and knack for turning spreadsheets into stories left him grinning at his desk long after meetings ended.

Their first “date” wasn’t your typical candlelit affair. It was St. Patrick’s Day, and with the world still on pause, they synced up for a streamed Flogging Molly concert—him in his cluttered home office, her in a cozy room surrounded by yarn. Over Discord, they dove into a lively exchange, bonding over the band’s wild energy, swapping their favorite songs, and sharing stories about their lives. By the end of the concert, they both knew they had stumbled upon something special.

After several months of learning about one another, they decided to trade their separate chaos for a shared adventure. They found a quirky overpriced apartment perched on a hill and began scheming for their future together. Three years flew by in a whirlwind of color and sound—rocking out at concerts, haggling over handmade treasures at craft fairs, geeking out at ComiCons in mismatched costumes, and trekking through Renaissance fests with turkey legs in hand. Their life was a patchwork of laughter, late-night debates about superhero lore, and the kind of love that turns ordinary days into epic quests.

The boy had been pondering his proposal for years at this point, his knack for overthinking big decisions almost a running joke between them. Finally one night, at the fanciest restaurant he could find, he had arranged for an evening of delicious steaks at a quiet corner table. Then, with a steadying breath, he unfolded a letter he’d written for her which shared all the things he had felt every day but didn’t say enough. When he finished, she looked up to see he had knelt beside her, a small wooden ring in hand and a question to ask… finally…

From virtual sparks to a hilltop haven, a boy and a girl built a love story that’s equal parts punk rock and fairy tale. Now, they’re ready to say “I do”—and they can’t wait to celebrate with the people who’ve cheered them on through every beat of the adventure!
