The sound of diesel rumbling the atmosphere in the dark warm cab. He looked at her intently as he ascended Mt. Center Console from the passenger side which seemed miles away. Their lips met and she shuddered with a yearning for more but the brief kiss was everything to her, to him… to them.

She watched as he repelled from her monstrous diesel Ram still rumbling away in the cold. She looked down to him as he prepared to slip into his cute little convertible trying to keep it from getting sucked into the mighty Ram intake like a light snack.

He glanced at her, catching her with the smiling giddy girl joy, it was then he knew…

Chapter 1 - They meet.

The stale smell of coffee and day old donuts consumed the office. He entered cube city to visit a friend that morning. He overheard a stream of obscenities soar from the adjacent cubicle. He glanced over and saw her.

She was radiant. Her hair flowed in the breeze of the PC fan. Her crystal blue eyes looked up at him with worship. His scan of her from head to toe triggered a carnal desire. He thought to himself ‘Darrrr she purdy” and he quickly retreated unsure if that thought had escaped aloud.

She peered up at the gorgeous looking stranger from above. She couldn’t help herself as she noticed his ripped jackhammer-like arms and his studly stance. As her eyes traveled down his torso noting how his chest and abs would look with slightly less padding, she had to stop when she reached the bottom. His feet were HUGE and she knew what that meant. Before she could even say hi, he was gone.

Chapter 2 - The Not-A-Date

Dr Sanguinary was a local favorite for the 80s generation. Wade scored some tickets to a live showing. He knew what he had to do. His thoughts of that angel Angie consumed him but he didn’t want to scare her off. As the score from Top Gun filled his head he knew… He had to risk getting out of “The Friendship Zone”.

Angie agreed and was looking forward to getting out for a nice evening. However, she was very cautious and she wasn’t sure of his intentions… or hers. She brought the whistle just in case.

Wade was thrilled to be out as well, especially with the goddess of technology (not the bottom of the nightstand kind of technology). He noticed she was quiet with folded arms as they waited for the show, her hand holding what appeared to be a keychain, close to her mouth.

He turned to start a conversation; it startled her. The shrilling scream of the rape whistle echoed in the halls of the theater. Security rushed from all sides to come to her rescue. She calmly apologized and felt comfort in knowing she was well prepared.

Chapter 3 - The Date

A large gathering had been on the books early December 2012, an evening at a local comedy club. 6 friends would attend, 2 pair as a couple and the not yet a couple; Angie the whistleblower and Wade the not a rapist. However, not all would go as planned. In the final hours the 2 couples would cancel leaving the night to the future love birds.

Angie agreed to still attend the comedy show with Wade, mostly out of pity and she could use another laugh. It was a normal show. She slapped him in front of the comedian which added more to his act. But that’s a story for another time…

The show ended and he walked her to her HUGE ASS DODGE RAM and watched this 5ft 3in girl scale into the driver seat and fire up her big rig. She offered him a ride to his car and this is where we began this story.

Chapter 4 - Proposal

Their second date was a success. So much so that they never left each other's sight. The kids text with concern for their mother’s whereabouts checking on her frequently. It wasn’t until her children shared their plot of eminent domain at Angie's homestead did she decide it was time to go home.

Our happy couple would date for a couple months but Wade knew he needed to do something soon before she came to her senses. Come February 14 he would seal the deal in gold and diamonds.

On one knee (the one he just had surgery on and forgot about until his athletically thick build rested upon it) and now with watering eyes. The scene at the Mahogany Steak House was filled with couples in love. A gift in a box for her and their ‘forever plus four’. He produced a box from his pocket and opened it slowly in front of her.. He thrust it toward her gently. She let him place the ring on her finger, she said YES!

Chapter 5 - Wrap it UP!

10 years have gone by since June 21 2013. They now have a blended family with many stories of success and travel. The kids Christine, Cadie, Tyler and Cameron are all grown and out into the world. Wade and Angie are still happy and amazingly, together, mostly due to her sheer patience and will. They had never had much more than a justice of the peace nuptials and a first family dinner.

It is now time for the wedding they never had, the party they never had, but all the memories of the past 10 years to share with anyone who will listen.
