Nicholas and Angie met in October of 2023, at their church's young adult group. (Thank you Justin and Gretchen!). Nicholas had been a member of the group since 2021, while Angie had recently joined. When they first met, they had a very fun time trying to find what room the meeting was in. After finally finding the correct room, Angie was was formally introduced to the group as their newest member.

After being a part of the young adult group for some time, there was a meeting held at the group leader's house. Angie had come in from a difficult, long day at work, and she expressed her frustrations. She sat down beside Nicholas, and he put his hand down on the couch next to her, and said "Well, you're with friends now, and we're going to have a good time, and you can forget about work for a bit." That is the moment when Angie thought that Nicholas liked her, and she started becoming more interested in him.

In November of 2023, the young adult group was hosting their annual Friendsgiving. At that dinner, Nicholas and Angie sat next each other and really hit it off with conversation. Because of this, she invited Nicholas to join her at their church's night of worship. He accepted the invite!

When that evening came, they sat next to each other in church and had a wonderful time, Angie thought that Nicholas was going to officially ask her out on date... or so she thought. Nicholas was so nervous that night, and really enjoyed his time, but couldn't work up the courage to ask her out that night. Nicholas really regretting what he had done, and instantly started to wonder if there ever would be a second chance....

After the holidays had came and went, the Diocese of Youngstown was hosting a Christmas party for all of the young adult groups in the region. Angie and Nicholas attended the party, separately, secretly hoping they would see each other. The minute that they both entered the building, they couldn't stay away from one another. After laughing, talking, and enjoying the wonderful party, Nicholas finally managed to catch Angie alone for just enough time to ask her on a date. She immediately accepted, and they settled on dinner together the next evening.

Nicholas and Angie's first date was at Bravo!, a restaurant, local to both of them. They were both so nervous, afraid that this date could ruin their ongoing friendship. But it didn't! Their date lasted for 3 hours, and they really enjoyed each other's company. That night, Nicholas officially asked Angie to be his girlfriend, and from there, they have spend all of their time together for the next 6 months.

After spending 6 wonderful months together, during which Angie and Nicholas grew deeply into their devotion towards one another, and in their Catholic faith, they both came to the conclusion that their relationship was ready for something even bigger. On July 13th, 2024, Nicholas took Angie out to 17 River Grille, for a very romantic dinner in Chagrin Falls. Afterwards, he asked her if she would like to go for a walk, and they took a stroll along a very pretty river. Once Nicholas had found a spot, devoid of people, he took Angie's hands, and told her how beautiful she was, and how he wanted to spend forever with her. Nicholas then got down on one knee, pulled out a diamond engagement ring out of his pocket, and asked Angie to marry him. Just like for their first date, Angie instantly said yes, followed by tears. They hugged, and sat on a bench for a few minutes alone, just soaking in the incredible moment that they will remember for the rest of their lives. They then proceeded to tell family and friends, one by one, that they were engaged!
