We met when Angie was setting up her room at her new job as a teacher at Little Flower in the fall of 2020. Angie found a ladder in the hallway, and, being vertically challenged, she borrowed it to put up posters in her room. Unbeknownst to her, it was Jacob's ladder. When he came looking for it, he found it in her room. He asked for it back, to which Angie replied, "You're going to bring it back, right?". Feeling perturbed, he begrudgingly said yes.
As Angie continued setting up her room, rocking out, Jacob fell off the ladder in the adjacent room! Angie heard nothing as Green Day filled her room with rock-n-roll! He came in a bit later, carrying the ladder, bringing it back as promised. He questioned her about hearing him fall off the ladder, to which she replied, "I didn't hear anything."
A few weeks went by and Angie came in one morning to Jacob replacing her broken TV in her classroom. She was very excited and exclaimed that she had one to mount at her house but did not know how to mount it especially in the plaster walls of her house. He volunteered to put her TV up, to which she asked for his number and name!
Their first date happened a few weeks later when Angie asked if he wanted to go to a party with her. He declined but asked her for a lunch date the following week. They met at her house in Noblesville and walked the few blocks to Primeval Brewery. After lunch, they walked the square where there was a car show going on and someone was having a wedding! Since it was 2020, the wedding was outside. As Angie and Jacob walked around the courthouse, the groom was nervously waiting on the side of the building for the big event to start. Angie thought she and Jacob should shout a congrats to the groom, to which Jacob quickly and vehemently said no! Angie of course did anyway, screaming "Good Luck" and "Congratulations" to the groom! Afterwards, they laughed about it as Jacob walked her back home. And the rest is history! :)
