Little Man Ice Cream: Great ice cream spot that has tons of outdoor seating and is in the shape of a milk jug
Blue Pan Pizza: A Denver staple pizza place that is great for a casual dinner before the welcome party. It's just down the street (~2 blocks) and in a fun neighborhood to explore
Ash Kara: In Ani’s opinion the best Mediterranean food in Denver!
The pita is incredible and the Tagines are making my mouth water as I type
(reservations likely required)
The Post Chicken & Beer: Really good gluten free friend chicken and beer. Dedicated fryer and other luxuries that gluten free folks rarely find make this spot a date night favorite for us
Family Jones: Super fun distillery and drinks spot close to Little Man and the
welcome party. They have fantastic drinks and make their own spirits
Prost!: Great brewery with fun indoor and outdoor seating depending on the weather. Just a 15 min walk from The Limelight (5 min drive). This could be a great spot to grab a drink in the gap between ceremony and reception
Mead St. Provisions and Three Dogs Tavern: 2 bars on 32nd street near the Church and Welcome Party that are good causal hang out spots
Feral: Chad, Michael, Lena, and I’s favorite used outdoor wear and gear shop on Tennyson St. Cool shop to wander through on a great street to explore.
Golden: One of the hikes Chad and I have on repeat for visitors is Mt. Galbraith Loop (via Cedar Gulch Trail) just outside of Golden, CO (~20-30 minutes from Downtown Denver). The wildflowers are beautiful in the spring and this ~4 mile hike is a perfect distance and has some great views of the mountains from the top. We always grab lunch at Bob’s Atomic Burgers or a beer at The Golden Mill afterwards
Red Rocks: Lena’s favorite hike in Morrison is ‘Red Rock and Morrison Slide Loop’ which is ~3 miles (~20 minutes from Downtown Denver) and shows off the rock formations. You can also explore the Red Rocks amphitheater which is open to the public every day and grab food or ice cream in Morrison
Boulder Flat Irons Hike: Starting from Chautauqua Park there are many trails that take you up and through the Flat Irons (~30-40 min from downtown Denver). This can be a quick ½ mile hike with the kiddos or a longer ~3 mile hike through the whole system
