After spending time together during the musical and going to turnabout together, Joe asked Anna to be his girlfriend on a Friday morning when she walked out of chamber choir. They got to attend many events together throughout high school and even broke up briefly twice (oops!). They loved participating in choir and theatre together.

In the next few years the couple got to experience a lot together. They both graduated highschool and although Joe began at Loyola in Chicago, both of them ended up at DePaul by 2022. Joe got to experience his first Bardolph vacation and Anna got to experience a Thompson trip as well. They loved living down the street from each other in Lincoln Park and Joe even got to experience many sorority events! Anna adopted Franklin during this time and Joe immediately took on the role of dog dad.

Joe and Anna got engaged! After years of discussing, dreaming and planning, Joe asked Anna to marry him at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Obviously, she said yes. They enjoyed the rest of the night by attending a Blackhawks game with some friends and family and updating all of the people who had been waiting years for the news! They are so excited to finally celebrate with everyone.
