Minneapolis is an awesome city with an abundance of activities in the fall. Here are some of Mike and Anna's favorites:
1. Nature activities
-The Chain of Lakes (Isles, Harriet, and Bde Maka Ska) in Southwest Minneapolis offer beautiful views of the city and the fall colors. We love walking or grabbing rental bikes and cruising the bike trails (Mike wouldn't dare rent a bike when he has his Bianchi, but you get the idea.)
-Minnehaha Park has a beautiful waterfall (depending on the summer rainfall of course), as well as miles and miles of walking trails. There is a large off leash dog park as well if you have pets with you!
2. Restaurants
Minneapolis has a fantastic food scene! Here are some of Mike and Anna's favorite restaraunts, bars, and breweries:
-Restaurants: Brasa, Revival, Pizza Luce, Black Sheep Pizza, Amazing Thailand, Sebestian Joe's Ice Cream, the Lowry, Bar La Grassa, Psycho Suzy's, Brit's Pub, Matt's Bar for a famous Jucy Lucy (#teammatts)
-Breweries: Dangerous Man, Bauhaus, Insight
-Coffee shops: Spyhouse, Five Watt, Dogwood, Caribou of course
3. Points of Interest
-Museums: Minneapolis Institute of Art, Mill City Museum, Minneapolis Sculpture Gardens (weather permitting as it is outdoors!), Walker Art Center
-Landmarks: Foshay Tower, Stone Arch Bridge, Mall of America
4. Other Fun Activities
Mike and Anna are in an ongoing battle for mini golf champion. Check out the greens at CanCan Wonderland and see if you can beat their course record!
Maybe video games are more your thing? Grab a pint and some quarters and head to UpDown for all the arcade games your heart could desire.
We hope you enjoy Minneapolis as much as we do!
