How we met:
On a cold Thanksgiving Eve of 2021, Anna logged onto eHarmony to see a message from Dan that sparked her interest. After seeing that her profile claimed she was a private investigator in her free time, Dan hooked her by saying “I’m a real life investigator”, and they’ve been pursuing the “crime of love” ever since.
After sparking conversation, Dan and Anna went on their first date on November 29, 2021 and it quickly became clear that this was something special. Even Sadie knew he was here for the long haul when she didn’t even bother to bark at him more than once or twice.
Over the last 2 years, Dan and Anna have expanded their palates in Philly, traveled abroad to London, marked off 3 baseball stadiums together, explored our culinary side while making Beef Wellington, and Dan has even learned the lyrics to Rocky Top, just to name a few highlights!
How he proposed (in Dan’s words):
I had to go to great lengths to acquire the perfect stone since Anna is such a good investigator. It required a lot of white lies that she has since forgiven me for. While she was away in California with her college roommates, I found the ring that I wanted her to have for the rest of our lives. After keeping it hidden for over a month, I knew I wanted to propose in a way that signified our love, where we met, and the city that we love. In the middle of August, with the help of Anna’s best friend, Hailey, we lured her to the Philadelphia Art Museum under false pretenses of a pop-up beer garden, but instead, I got down on one knee on the most iconic spot in the city, the Rocky steps, and asked her to be my wife. After a few seconds of ugly crying (Anna’s words), she was able to say yes, and the crowd applauded in true Brotherly Love fashion.
We are so excited start our lives together, but most importantly, to celebrate with friends and family!
Love, Anna and Dan
