Our Story

We met at my roommate, Giovanna’s, birthday party but did not talk a whole lot. We caught glimpses of each other throughout the night but were too scared to talk to each other. Later, he told Giovanna that he thought I was cute and asked for my Snapchat. We hung out a couple times with Giovanna and her boyfriend, Grant. We went to a few UAB football games together.

Before going on our first official date, I went to masons house and met his mom and step dad. They helped us decide where to go. We went to Little Donkey mexican restaurant and then to the Vulcan.

Covid hit and the dorms shut down, so I had to go live at home and finish school online, which meant having to drive an hour just to see each other once a week. We went on many adventures during this time!

We celebrated our six months by going to bridge street shopping center and getting dinner together. We stopped by my maid of honor’s house and took pictures in her front yard. Mason gave me a promise ring and told me he was going to marry me one day!

I moved into my very first apartment with two roommates once school started back in the fall. Yay for no more long distance!! This was our first picture together in my apartment and our first Halloween together.

We took our first trip together to celebrate New Year’s and our one year anniversary. We went to Rock City/Look Out Mountain.

We took our first trip out of the country with my family. We went to Cancun Mexico. This was a first for both of us. It was a blast and we will cherish these memories forever!

I had been begging Mason for a puppy for months and he finally caved. We got our very first furbaby- Milo!

Milo was very lonely when mason was at work and I was at school/clinicals, so we decided to get another puppy, Murphy, to keep him company!

We went on our first ever movie date and picked out my engagement ring!!

After six months of waiting for the ring, Mason finally asked me to marry him. Easiest yes ever!
