Anna-Claire's pov

I saw Elijah for the first time when we were both at the gym our sophomore year at MC (my second year there, his first). It was September of 2023 and he was working out with the boyfriend of one of my close friends. Of course I had to text my friend and ask who he was because I was very attracted to him. She quickly answered and said that he had also asked about me and they were going to set up a double date for us to meet. A couple days later, the four of us went to play pickleball together and Elijah and I hit it off immediately. He was so easy to talk to and I felt so comfortable around him. It was also clear he genuinely cared about getting to know me. We went on a date just the two of us the next day. I very quickly figured out that this man was someone special and someone I had been praying for. Six days later we became official and the rest is history. I hate to use the word perfect for two very imperfect people, but Elijah really is the perfect fit for me. Anyone who knows us knows we are so much alike and yet so different at the same time. Elijah is evidence that the Lord answers prayers and He knows exactly what his children need. I am beyond blessed to get to be his wife and that he loves me as Christ loves His bride.

Elijah's pov

I was working out with a friend when I saw Anna-Claire in the gym and knew I had to go out with her. Come to find out later she thought the same way. We went and played pickleball and I asked her out on a date. During that first date she asked me what my testimony was and I knew this was something real. Not even a week later I asked her to be my girlfriend. I had never met anyone like her and whenever I got to spend time with her it was like what God had for my future became more and more clear. At some point I decided it was time to start saving up for a ring and make it official that I wanted to marry her. I wouldn’t change that decision for a second. Our time together so far, even though short in the grand scheme of our entire life, has been incredible. The Lord has been so faithful to us and I know he will continue to be during this upcoming season and all throughout our marriage.
