It was early 2011, when Anna and Imran first met in their very early twenties at a party through mutual friends. Though Imran made an ever-lasting first impression, the two were very simply "just friends". Years would go by, occasionally running into one another at bars or around town, always as friendly acquaintances.

In 2019 they again, ran into each other out of the blue, but this time, exchanged phone numbers and made plans to see each other soon. Facetime calls, texting, and a few dates happened, but nothing serious ever blossomed, neither of them knowing or letting onto how much they each liked the other. The two went separate ways, Imran set out on an adventure across the country, but always keeping in contact with Anna through a few funny texts or pictures of his adventure on occasion.

In June of 2021, on Anna's 30th birthday, the two crossed paths again, in a downtown bar, where they'd run into each other what seemed, over and over again. Anna was sitting at a table with her friends, celebrating, when Imran walked through the door, passed Anna's table and he stopped dead in his tracks, he didn't even turn around, he took four paces backwards, stared right into Anna's eyes and said, "Hey, I know you!" Anna lit up, stood up, and they hugged for a good long while, exchanged pleasantries and new phone numbers and Imran would call the next day. The two would go on a few more dates, and then were nearly inseparable, and two months later, they moved in together.

In June of 2023, the pair were on a beautiful vacation in Phoenix Arizona, a place that both had visited before in the past, but had finally made the trip together. One day, on a hike through The Desert Botanical Garden, under the hot summer sun, surrounded by desert flowers, Imran got down on one knee and the two got engaged.

Now, September 21, 2024 they are to be married!

And are without a doubt, going to live happily ever after.
