Our Wedding

Our story began in elementary school. We both attended Bridgeport Elementary School, but Lucas was a grade above Anna. Anna recalls having the biggest crush on Lucas since she could remember. Later on, he transferred to Bayard High School where he would graduate while she graduated from Bridgeport High. We lost touch after he transferred but began to reconnect her sophomore year. It was nothing serious at first. He had messaged her on Facebook after she had liked his Facebook status stating, Like for a TBH (to be honest). It was quite the trend at that time. Lucas moved to Kearney, Nebraska, and Anna moved on to Hastings, Nebraska for a year. This was the year they made everything official and became a couple. Anna ultimately moved back home to be closer to family after a year in Hastings, but the distance did not weaken the relationship. As they say, Distance makes the heart grow fonder. Anna graduated with a degree in Pre-nursing from WNCC, and moved to Lincoln, Nebraska to attend nursing school. Two years later, Lucas and Anna moved in together. She graduated nursing school, and they moved to Kearney where they are now calling home. On November 12, 2022, they had all of their closest friends over to celebrate Thanksgiving. He had been secretly planning to ask her to marry him. He even coordinated her best friend to bring her camera to capture the memory. While we were all outside taking pictures he got down on one knee and proposed. She said yes! They continue to live in Kearney with their dog, Maggie, and their cat, Winston. They have been since slowly planning their wedding, and cannot wait to celebrate their love with all of their family and friends! It is crazy to think that all of this really started with a Facebook status.
