This historic downtown area contains some of Helena's best local shops, restaurants, and bars. If you have a sweet tooth stop on by the Parate. They have some of the best homemade chocolate on this side of the Rocky Mountains. Our favorite local restaurant/bar is the Windbag. I love to order a huckleberry mule to go alongside some of the best huckleberry boneless wings I've ever had.

For those who are history buffs or just looking for something fun to do, we both recommend the tour train. The train takes you through historic downtown Helena and the Mansion district. You'll learn all about the deep rich history of Helena Montana.
