10 minute drive to the wedding venue. If staying here, we recommend booking taxis in advance. This can be done through the hotel or wedding venue.

Other Options The local area has other options for accommodation including Air B&amp;B and Hotels. If you chose to use one of these options we recommend staying in Durham (15-20 minute drive) or Sedgefield (10 minute Drive).

Where To Stay

AirportsTeesside International Airport is the closest airport, but will not have many flight options.Newcastle International Airport is the closest large airport, but will likely require a connection through London.Manchester Airport will have some direct flights from the US, but it is 2 hours by car from the venue. The train is also a convenient option to get from Manchester to the north.Note: most London airports will have connections to Newcastle. Flying into London and taking the train north is also a good option.

OtherIf you are renting a car, the default option will be a manual transmission. You may need to request in advance if you require an automatic.Public transport is great in London and other large cities, in more rural areas, like the Northeast, having a car is a great option if you want to explore the area.Taxis are widely available and Uber is becoming more prevalent in the area. Note: Americans will need to apply for a travel visa to enter the UK. This is a very easy process, but must be done in advance. How to Get There

Beautiful beach for a long walk (check the tides before going). The undisputed BEST Fish and Chips in the UK can be found at Seaview Cafe.

Saltburn Beach

This is a great hike and is surrounded by villages which have an abundance of coffee shops and village pubs.

National Trust - Roseberry Topping

Durham is host to a lot great coffee shops and restaurants. Also a beautiful castle and cathedral where some scenes of Harry Potter were filmed.
