How should we get to Marion?

The closest large airport is in St. Louis, MO (2 hour drive from Marion). There is also the option to fly into Chicago and then take a small plane to the airport in Marion or take the Amtrak train to Carbondale. If you know other people who are attending the wedding, we recommend that you find a group and rent a car together to drive from the airport to Marion. Anna & Ben can also help you join up with another group. There is NO public transportation in Marion and it is a rural community. Uber is very limited.

If you know other people who are attending the wedding, we recommend that you find a group and rent a car together for the weekend. Anna & Ben can also help you join up with another group.

Where should we park for the ceremony?

There is parking all along the roads inside the cemetery. There is also a small parking lot. If you have a special request for parking, please talk to Anna or Ben and we can find a solution for you.

How accessible are the venues?

There will be the option to sit down for all people at all times at both venues. There is no restroom at the Goddard Chapel; however, it is right in town and near gas stations in case of emergency. [Information coming about wheelchair accessibility.] Please check in with Anna to secure a close parking spot before the ceremony if needed. The Pavillion is fully wheelchair accessible, has accessible parking spots, and is equipped with bathrooms and other typical amenities. What is the alcohol situation?

We hope to have a cocktail hour with two specialty cocktails, then an open bar for beer, wine, and vermouth throughout the reception.
