Alex and Anna met at Barnes Jewish Hospital working in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit. After working together for months without ever hardly speaking, they were talking one day and Alex invited himself on one of Anna’s runs at forest park. After putting in headphones and starting the run, Alex realized Anna was not going to let him use the headphones and they would instead spend the whole run talking. What began as one run quickly turned into going on runs 3-4 times a week that were all followed by long conversations about politics, religion, and life. After doing this for a couple months, Alex finally worked up the nerve to ask Anna out, and the rest is history. After getting married, Alex and Anna plan to move to Kansas City where Anna will continue to work as a nurse while Alex goes back to school to become a certified registered nurse anesthetist.
