In August of 2020, during the peak of uncertainty and fear of the pandemic, while the world was literally burning around us, we decided to meet at a park in Mountain View, CA.

Sitting 6 feet apart, beers in hands, we talked about the chaos of our jobs and the world but we also talked about all sorts of regular, everyday things that people talk about when getting to know each other.

The joy we felt in learning about each other and laughing at each other was an incredible balm and a welcome reminder that life is also unpredictable in wonderful, beautiful ways.

Five years later we have been so lucky to move in together (and then move to Oakland together), to explore all over California and abroad, to take care of our little animal family, to work and play together. There has not been one day where we haven’t laughed with and at each other.

On July 2nd 2024, we woke up far too early (in an attempt to beat the heat and bugs) for a sunrise hike in the Santa Lucia mountains. Once at the top, RIchie asked and Anna said yes to forever!

We are so excited and grateful to build this life together and move into a sweet and loving future!
