Anna and Neil first met each other while studying at Georgia Tech.

Freshman year of college, they actually had two classes together, but due to COVID, those classes were virtual, so they didn't actually meet until Sophomore year.

Every day, they both woke up at 5:00 AM to go to the campus gym. They would make eye contact and smile and nod at each other occasionally, and Anna became known as "gym girl" amongst Neil and his friends.

Eventually, a friend of his recognized "gym girl" in the dining hall, and she invited Anna to breakfast with Neil and a few others. They became friends for a while and slowly grew closer as they bonded over their mutual experiences in school, love of music, board games, and more.

They started spending more time together alone, and their first date was on Valentine's Day in 2022 where they went to dinner together at a local restaurant and then did some drumming together after. They officially became a couple on February 20, 2022, and have been falling more in love with each other every day since then.

Neil's internship as a mechanical engineer at Shell took them to Louisiana in Summer 2023, and they had a magical summer together at a cottage in Lacombe. It was here that they really started envisioning married life and knew the future they wanted. Neil bought the engagement ring that summer and started planning out his proposal.

They came back to Atlanta to continue their studies, and they got engaged on October 21, 2023. They spent a wonderful day at a pumpkin patch where they navigated through corn mazes, picked out pumpkins to take home, and had cider and donuts. They then went to have some professional pictures taken of the two of them, and Neil planned with the photographer to perfectly time the proposal and get her reaction on camera.

They are so excited for their future together. They will grow together and support each other through all that life offers them, and their connection and foundation of friendship and love will lead to a strong marriage.
