Our Wedding

We met on a cool December morning in San Francisco, Anna was starving and Ross picked a perfect, scrumptuous spot to meet up for a bite. Word must've gotten out about this great place, as the wait was so long, we ended up ducking into a salty dog next door, a local watering hole. That's how it all started, over a classic Bloody Mary made from scratch *insert chef's kiss*. Smiling and talking non-stop from that morning on, our first date ended as the sun was setting. Was love in the air? Yes, yes it was... Our relationship quickly progressed, meeting each other's friends and family in the next few holiday weeks. At the start of the 2020 new year, we realized we'd become an item. Ross loved being around Anna's bubbliness and warmth, and Anna loved being around Ross' adventurism and grounding disposition. Then, came Covid.&nbsp;What's a budding romance without a pandemic? Enter the Romance of a Quarantine. After settling in, and having a blast as a population of two, cooking together, watching movies, remotely working, we decided to venture out. Nature was our playground, we set out on memorable escapades near, far, and wide. We discovered during quarantining how much we loved to experience new things and travel together. Once the country opened up again, our passions remained the same, the borders just got bigger. Our party of two also expanded, with the addition of being able to spend time with friends and family. We've moved many times, adopted two sweet dog friends, bought a house and look forward to what the future has in store. Can't wait to see you on at our wedding! Truly,Anna &amp; Ross

Our Love Story

How it all began

We are so excited to see you! If you are flying into San Francisco airport, we will be happy to arrange travel to and from the hotel (or your Air BnB in Oakdale), the to/from the ceremony and reception. Please RSVP for details.

We understand that some guests do not wish to drive to or from the wedding due to any alcohol consumption, so, please plan accordingly. We recommend carpooling and designating a sober driver, if you are not staying in Oakdale. Taxi and Uber services are available for those who would not like to use a shuttle service.

Transportation

Please, feel free to book any hotel or Air B&amp;B close by. However, we have blocked a set a rooms at Holiday Inn. If you would like to book here, please mention that you are reserving a room for the Whitington &amp; Izzo wedding.

This is one of the two hotels in Oakdale. If you will not have transportation we will be happy to arrange travel for you. Uber is available for those who prefer to arrange their own travel.

Zoe and Anna met as roommates almost 20 years ago.  Her easy going nature, hilariousness and shared girlie interests make their time together each other's happy place. Hayley and Anna were inseparable since Middle School.  Their favorite pastime is laughing. By inseparable they mean they were living essentially living at each other's houses, and calling each other's parents mom and dad.

Andee was my first sister, born shortly after my 11th birthday.  She is fiercely intelligent, graduating with her BA in Biology and a minor in Organic Chemistry at 20 years old!  She grabs life by both hands, and feet and toes, and is full of action and adventure, laughter and zest. - Anna

Tiffany was Anna's first best friend.  They met in second grade at school in Daly City, CA.  Soul friends sounds about right.  She is working on her PhD in biology at Stanford. We laugh until we cry, we love delicious culinary masterpieces, and she is a travel connoisseur, and Anna have had what Anna calls her, "greatest traveling adventure" with Tiffany. (There's a story there!)  They come together, no matter the time or distance, and its like they've never parted.

Aaron and I met in grad school.  Her vibrance, warmth, and mind left me awe-struck.  We became inseparable.  Our biggest complaint was not being able to spend more time with each other. *laugh*  Together we were able to laugh and find moments to enjoy adventures in the sunshine, which gifted us lovely and most needed balance to the grueling academic experience we shared.  Through these experiences, she became more like family than a friend. - Anna

Amber and Anna met in high school.  (There is a story there, one they laugh about today.)  They became inseparable in college. (A great story there!)  It was as if the universe destined for them to be in each others lives. One of Anna's favorite memories is when they would put on a playlist, share headphones, Amber with one year, Anna with the other, and rollerblade around nearly every day.

Rowan is my middle of my sisters.  She came into the world when I was 11, and our relationship has grown from playful caretaking into best friend.  Today we work together, laugh together, and her excellent organization and communication skills make us an unstoppable team! - Anna

Roxy and I met in undergrad at NDNU.  I became enthralled by her gumption, and we became inseparable. We went to class together, studied together, laughed, and spent many days off from classes exploring the coast of California.  Her sense of adventure and immersion in the present moment are so grounding to me! - Anna

Judy is Anna's cousin's wife.  She's been a part of Anna's family for over a decade.  She fit right into our family, coming from her own big and close family.  She could bring a tear to your eye with her sentimentality, and then have you laughing until you cry with her quick wits. You can find her smiling, and laughing, and making other's laugh.
