It all started when my future mother-in-law lied to me. I was looking for a home group, and she told me that theirs was all old people. I had no idea who I was going to see when I rounded the corner of their kitchen that night. Just imagine the shock, the surprise … and the offense lol.

Just kidding. I wasn’t offended at all.

That’s how it all started. Despite going to Heritage together while growing up, we didn’t actually know each other prior to me joining the home group. The timing and circumstances were actually quite miraculous, and even before we really knew what was going on, both of us felt something was different here. Over the next few months, we started to get to know each other through church and home group, talking way more than normal, and wearing out the pavement of every parking lot in Jefferson City lol.

Eventually, as the relationship grew, we both began to hear the Lord speak to us personally. Then, just eleven months later, right at the start of this year, we both knew and FINALLY (as everyone said lol) started pursuing marriage. It’s been a wonderful and enriching year of provision and blessing as we’ve started to seek the Lord together. We’re excited to spend our wedding day with all of our family and friends and anticipating what the Lord has in store for us next.
