It all started at Lifetime fitness, of all places. Just a normal day—people working out, everyone kind of in their own world. But looking back, we weren't just two strangers in a gym; we were two people constantly noticing each other. While one of us was "doing her thing," Brendan was on the sidelines, noticing every detail but feeling a bit too shy to make a move. 😄Like, the kind of shy where you think about saying something a hundred times but never actually do it. We’d be there at the same time a lot, noticing each other, making eye contact here and there, maybe a small smile, but that was it. No “hi,” no conversation, nothing.Meanwhile, he’s over there planning out what he could say in his head… and then just… not saying it.Eventually, life just did its thing. Our schedules changed, routines changed, and we both kind of stopped going at the same time. And just like that, we drifted apart without ever actually talking.Which is kind of crazy when you think about it.Fast forward a few years… and somehow, we reconnected out of nowhere with a spontaneous snapchat Anna sent. And this time? A totally different story. It felt like everything kind of came full circle. Like we got a second chance at something that should’ve started years ago.That something turned into him coming to her 24th birthday, (from a facebook event invite) and let me say, BEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN. This was the first time we talked in person and it started with an awkward side hug. After that, we talked the whole night, and even went to Cowboy Jacks in Apple Valley that night. From then on, we hung out every weekend. And even went to North Dakota for New Years Eve together, and on our way home, he asked me to be his girlfriend. We are so happy and grateful to have found our way back to each other. There’s something special knowing our story started with years of almosts... only to turn into forever.
