Our Wedding

Our story began in May of 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. Tim brought Connor along to Cleveland for work with the Guardians and invited Anna up to join the two and Suz for the Derby. The rest is history...

How We Met

Anna made her first trip to Detroit and Connor surprised her by making her favorite meal: Nani's spaghetti and meatballs. Connor knew the way to Anna's heart right from the start! We made it official on May 21st, 2022. Over the next few months we made countless trips between Columbus and Detroit to visit one another. Our weekends were often filled with binging tv shows, trips to breweries, and Doordash deliveries to wrap up the night. It did not take us long to realize that we had found our partner in one another. Between out passion for food, the joy we find in the simplest things in life, and our love of bourbon and beer, life was easy together. Connor moved to Columbus in February of 2023 and things only got better! Tucker, Connor, and Anna were one happy family enjoying our time in person and no longer on FaceTime!

Finding Our Person

Our 2023 summer ended in a very special way with Connor's first international trip to Italy! After a long day of travel we enjoyed a good night's rest. Our first morning in Italy, we enjoyed a look out our window over a beautiful plaza when Connor got down on one knee and proposed! We spent the following days enjoying all that Italy had to offer including beautiful weather, exquisite food, and delicious wine.

We have a block of rooms set aside for our guests. Use the link to the website below to book a room as a part of our block. If you would like to extend your stay longer than just Friday and Saturday evening, please book your rooms and then contact Anna to have your stay extended. When you arrive, we encourage you to use the valet parking provided by the hotel. We will have a special group discount.

If you are flying in to join us, this is the closest airport to our venue. You will be able to reach the venue in a short 10-15 minute drive.

Food

The hotel has many features available to all guests including a large bar in the lobby which offers extensive options from Starbuck's coffee in the morning to any drink you can imagine as the day progresses. The hotel offers 24 hour room service. There is also an onsite restaurant which serves upscale Italian cuisine. You can enter Subito from the lobby.

Rooms

The hotel theme and decor is to bring a walk in the woods inside. The rooms offer plenty of space for you to relax in the comfort of your own room. Every room has a couch and king rooms offer a full seating area. Other features include a Nespresso coffee maker, bath amenities, robes, and slippers.

The hotel was formerly known as the Anna Louise Inn which was built to accommodate women traveling to find work in Cinncinnati. Named after President Taft's daughter, the inn opened on Memorial Day in 1909. As demand grew a second addition to the inn was completed in 1920 known as The Earls building. Starting in the 1950s the buildings surrounding the Lytle Park were repurposed with the hotel being the final installation. The hotel combined the original Earls building and inn to open its' doors in 2020. In doing so, extensive efforts to recognize and celebrate the history of the area were made. Keep an eye out for these original features:- The original doors were restored in the former Anna Louise Inn and the Earls Building.- The original roofline was restored with new slate and copper for the Earls Building.- The brick, limestone and sandstone were restored for both buildings.- The original metal/wood box gutter cornice on the former Anna Louise Inn was duplicated and added to create a second band at the roofline.- The exterior wrought iron railings were refurbished and repurposed as planters and new handrails on the interior of the former Anna Louise Inn.- Limestone features were incorporated into the rooftop, kitchen, restaurant and exterior patio.- Six fireplaces were added while maintaining the original three ornate chimneys now dormant on the Earls Building.- New cobblestone paver style driveway and granite style curbs were used in keeping with the original 1900s style of construction.- An original Rookwood water fountain off the lobby of the hotel was refurbished and framed with new Rookwood Tile.- Rookwood tile was used as the back bar tile on the Vista at Lytle Park rooftop.- Paid homage to the past presidents of the United States by designing a hand rail that duplicates the railing on the Truman Balcony of The White House. This hand rail ascends from the lobby to the second floor in the hotel. Lastly, keep an eye out for Anna Louise, Taft's daughter for whom the hotel was made. Artwork all around the hotel including in the rooms features her!
