Gage and Anna met in July 2019 thanks to mutual friends. Their shared obsession of animals and love for Taylor Swift bonded them together quickly and they have been inseparable ever since! (They even went to the Eras Tour together and sat in the 2nd row at Nashville Night 2!) When COVID hit, Gage and Anna spent most of their time together, playing Pokemon Go and binging many TV shows. In 2021, Anna started pharmacy school at SIUE, and Gage has been her biggest cheerleader. Between school and work, the two spent their time doing puzzles and playing video games together. Gage graduated from SWIC in 2022 with his degree in web development and began his career as a software developer at Helitech. That summer, Gage and Anna made the bold decision to adopt two cats, Betty and Franklin. They decided their babies deserved better than Gage's small apartment, so Gage and Anna bought their first home together in October 2022. Anna brought her beloved goldendoodle Lucy to the party, so they were officially a family of 5. In June 2023, the couple decided to adopt Jake (AKA Jacob when he is in trouble), a rambunctious golden retriever puppy. Though the puppy stage was challenging, Gage and Anna decided their zoo was not full. After 10 years of living in Anna's parents' garage, Wheat joined the crew to experience life as an indoor cat in January 2025. Thanks to the support of Gage and all the pets, Anna graduated with her PharmD/MBA in May of 2025 and started her career as a pharmacist at HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital. On October 7, 2023, Gage proposed to Anna during a romantic getaway in a cozy cabin near the Garden of the Gods in Southern Illinois. Of course, Anna said yes! Gage and Anna are so excited to start this next chapter of their lives together and can't wait to celebrate with you!
