Catherine married my brother, Bo, on July 25th, 2020 - but she’s been my sister for much longer than that. Cath is a fierce woman, a loyal friend, and just an all around good human; I couldn’t have hand-picked a better sister for myself or a better wife for my brother. I love you tremendously, Cath - I’m so happy to have you stand next to me as my Matron of Honor and my sister.

Emily and I have been besties - or BNFs (best neighbors forever) - since even before I officially moved in across the street from her family on East Collinwood Circle. Our lives have taken us in different directions, but our friendship has remained unchanged. So many of my favorite memories growing up and in adulthood feature Emily - she is truly one of a kind and has been a huge influence on who I am today. Slims, I couldn’t imagine not having you by my side for this big life moment - thanks for loving me through it all. 

Emily Slay Walters

Lizzy is a PK (preacher’s kid) so she came to Opelika in middle school, where she was in the same grade as my brother, Bo. In college, we became super close through him and other mutual friends, and I eventually introduced Lizzy to her husband/baby daddy, Rob. I've seen her grow into an incredible mother, wife, and friend and am so lucky to be able to watch Collins grow up. I love you Slizzy, thank you for being here with me - for this and for everything else. 

Elizabeth “Lizzy” Lay Dunavant

Cassandra was the first friend I made completely on my own. I came came home from the first week of kindergarten talking non-stop about this girl named Cassandra. As fate would have it, she lived right down the street from us and we became inseparable friends. Her family moved back to Iowa the next year, but we always kept in touch, visiting each other in Alabama and Iowa over the years and even lived together in college for a while. Even though the girl has lived in Germany, Italy, Iowa, Milwaukee, Buffalo, and now Minneapolis, she has never been far away or out of reach. Cass has always right there when I needed her - even when I didn’t know I needed her - and I can’t imagine my wedding without her in it.

Cassandra Ryann Longnecker

I met Kate my first full month in DC when she and her friend, Kat, (now our friend!) came to an DC Auburn Club Basketball watch party that I was hosting. This was before we were any good at basketball, so they were the only two who showed up. We hit it off over snacks and drinks & ended up making plans to hang out for the Super Bowl the next day and the rest, as they say, is history. We spent nearly 2 years galavanting across the DMV together & eventually both decided to move to Atlanta in the fall of 2017. It was an easier decision knowing Kate would be here & while we both miss DC, I think we both ended up where we needed to be. Morelli has seen me through some rough days and I’m so lucky to have her stand by me on the best day.

If we met in college, you met Christina, too. We were almost literally attached at the hip from freshman year until we graduated (I won’t tell you how long that was but I’ll just say it wasn’t four years😅) and even when I lived in DC, we would see each other often. “Stinka” was instrumental in pulling me out of the dark hole I had fallen into during a bad high school relationship and brought me into her circle; the friendships that developed from that allowed me to rediscover myself and find purpose again, ultimately making me who I am today. I’ll always be grateful to you for that, Stinka. Thank you for everything - I can’t wait for this next chapter in both our lives and in our friendship. 

Christina Warren

Grace - AKA Griz - and I have really become close over the last 5-6 years, though we knew each other long before. There are a lot of things I admire about Grace, but one of my favorite things about her is her ability to get sh*t done - whether that be at work, with friends, social media investigations, or random happenings on the day of my wedding - I know I can count on Griz to have it handled in record time, schooling whoever needs a lesson in the process. She’s also an incredible friend & I often find myself seeking her counsel on how to manage any of the given scenarios above in my own life. So glad you could make it back from Kenya, Griz! 😉

Grace Fields

 - or Baby O, as she is known in the family - and I have only known each other for a couple of years, but that is small change to the years of sister shenanigans that are to come! She and her pup, Oxley, lived with us for a month when she first moved to Atlanta and I truly enjoyed having that opportunity to get to know her better while she was here. I feel so lucky to be joining your family and to be gaining you as a sister, Baby O! Thank you for standing by me as I marry your brother.

Olivia Carlson

I remember the first time I met Erika (at Georgia Beer Garden, of course!) and within 10 minutes I knew we would get along well. She’s got a true “good vibes” outlook on life that I admire and is always ready for an adventure. Eri, we have already created some great memories together, but I’m so looking forward to all the new ones to come as sisters, including today! Thank you for welcoming me into your life and your family, and for standing with me on our big day. 

Erika Carlson

Morgan and I go way back - as in infancy (or before? not sure we had a choice😂) - but our friendship really blossomed in college. We had - and still have - the special kind of bond that is unfazed by distance or time; months without a real conversation and miles between us but we somehow can always pick up right where we left off, as if we just spoke that morning. MoJack, you are one of the most strong willed, unapologetic, and loyal people I know and I’m privileged to call you a friend and honored to have you standing with me on my wedding day.

I met Katrina just a couple of years ago through our mutual friend, Sara, and I knew from the get-go that we would get along well (aside from me breaking her no-hug rule that one time...😅) We've quickly become close and created priceless memories - I truly feel like I've known her forever. As a former wedding planner, she’s let me bounce ideas off of her and pick her brain for advice, for which I am so grateful! Our little group of friends (AKA: the "Coven") has become family to me over the last couple of years, so the bridal party would be incomplete without a Coven representative and I'm honored Katrina agreed to be 100% that witch (😉) and stand next to me on our big day.

Matt and Ian met when Ian was a wee freshman pledge at UGA in the fall of 2004. They have spent the last 16 years bonding over alcohol, cooking, and the proper pronunciation of "prix fixe".

Ian & Ben go back, way, way back to the early 1990's in Americus, all the way to the Ninja Turtle and Cub Scout days. They still have imaginary lightsaber fights every now and again.

Ian and Thomas met one hazy afternoon at the Delta Sig house circa 2007, and it's been country music & whiskey fueled sun salutes ever since.

Chris and Ian go all the way back to elementary school, but truly became friends during the trials and tribulations of junior high. They've lived together twice, and no one died or was even seriously injured!

Colin and Ian met sometime in the late 00's, most likely at Washington Street Tavern (RIP) while listening to emo music and drinking far too much PBR and Red Drink.  Neither of them can really remember due to the aforementioned alcoholic overindulgence.

PT was the recruitment chair at Delta Sigma Phi when Ian was but a wee fraternity rushee. PT introduced Ian to both PBR and ska music, both things for which Ian cannot thank PT enough, and for which PT may never be forgiven.
