Anna Lee and Akshar: a tale as old as time. From acquaintances to coworkers, to friends, to best friends, to a secret relationship at work, to dating openly at work… and finally, to becoming husband and wife (thankfully, no longer at the same work).

We owe it all to Austin, Texas—and Digital Whiteboards…err, Visual Workspaces for Innovation. It all began at a DIY Austin City Limits party in late 2020 (shoutout to Phoebe for the intro), where a heated cornhole match somehow turned into a job interview. Akshar pitched Miro, Anna Lee was intrigued, and a few weeks later, she joined the team. What started as coworkers turned into an unstoppable Account Executive + Customer Success Manager duo, chatting all day, every day—about customers, strategy, and eventually… life.

Work besties quickly became real-life besties. Fast forward two years and many King Crab + Fluke rolls at Neighborhood Sushi later, the feelings started to shift. In January 2023, Akshar finally mustered up the courage to say yes to Anna Lee asking him out and we never looked back.

We kept things under wraps at first (apologies to our former managers reading this…), but it didn’t take long for our love story to take off. From four-hour FaceTimes to Akshar overcoming a lifelong dog allergy for our beloved son/dog Scooby, to traveling the world side by side—we kept falling for each other, harder and faster.

After many plane rides (she in 8A, he in 35B), endless Scooby loops, and far too many OpenTable rezzies, Akshar popped the question at the Omni Barton Creek in Austin—only five months later than planned (turns out buying a ring is harder than it looks).

Now, we can’t wait to tie the knot in Santa Barbara, surrounded by the people…and Scooby… who make our lives so full of love, laughter, and joy!
