Anna met Devon in January 2020 at their local church in Napa through a young adult ministry called “Emerge”, where both of them were leaders in the ministry. Devon instantly knew he wanted to pursue Anna, so once he mustered up the courage to do so, a pandemic hit the entire world. Because of social distancing and self-quarantining, the pursuit was on pause for Devon. After an unforbearing 7 months dragged by, their social circle started to meet again. Anna and Devon’s relationship began as a friendship, but one day, Devon shared his intentions to date her as he felt more than just friendship with her. When Anna replied that she had felt the same way about him, Devon was completely surprised. Of course, it was the best surprise he had heard in a very long time. And so, Devon asked Anna if she’d like to start going steady on August 3rd, 2020 at China Beach in San Francisco. They intentionally dated until Devon bought Anna a ring and asked “will you marry me?” They are now engaged, and cannot wait to be married!
