Opey and I met during my freshman year of college when she came to visit a friend at American International College. From the moment we connected, we were inseparable. We bonded instantly over track, our athleticism, love for food and cooking, and of course our shared sense of humor. But what started as a fun connection quickly deepened into something much more a sisterhood built on mutual admiration, shared values, and a deep understanding of one another.
Since college, we’ve stayed intentionally close. From our DMV summer trips to now living just 30 minutes apart, Opey has truly become my soul sister. Her family calls me their bonus daughter and yes, they really do include me in their family vacations!
Choosing her as my Matron of Honor was one of the easiest decisions I made. She knows my heart, my journey, and my faith and I couldn’t imagine taking this next step without her by my side.
Ashley and I met back in 2012, and what started as strangers quickly grew into a bond of true sisterhood. Over the years, she’s been a constant in my life, loyal, loving, and always the one I can count on, no matter the season. She’s not only my friend, she’s my safe space, my encourager, and someone who believes in my wildest dreams whether it’s traveling the world, building a legacy, or just chasing after joy.
Before college, I was content with my three meals a day until I met Ashley, who introduced me to the art of snack sharing and selflessness. Nothing was ever off-limits with her, and that spirit of generosity has defined our friendship ever since. She’s always thinking of others before herself, showing up for her friends and family in ways that leave a lasting mark.
Having Ashley as my Maid of Honor was an easy decision because she’s been showing up for me long before the title was official. She’s taught me humility, reminded me to laugh through life, and continues to be a reflection of love and light.
Honorine and I met a few years ago after I moved to Maryland, and from the moment we crossed paths at a local marathon, we just clicked. What started as a shared interest in fitness quickly blossomed into a deep and genuine sisterhood.
Over the years, we’ve created countless memories together, traveling, laughing, growing, and supporting each other through every season. Honorine is not only one of the most thoughtful and uplifting people I know, but she’s also a true fashionista and a curator of luxury experiences. From finding the best lounges and flights to planning unforgettable getaways, she brings beauty, class, and joy into everything she does.
Choosing her as my Matron of Honor was a heartfelt decision, she’s been a constant light in my life and a source of wisdom, laughter, and unconditional love.
Franklin and Fedelis first met in 2004 at G.T.H.S. Nkambe, where they became classmates in the Civil Engineering Department. From the beginning, Franklin noticed something different about Fedelis, not just his academic excellence, but the strong bond he shared with his father and twin brother, and the quiet strength he carried himself with.
Their friendship grew through late-night study groups, teamwork, and countless laughs. What stood out most was Fedelis’ humility and unshakable peace, even in difficult environments, he never raised his voice, often apologizing even when he wasn’t at fault. Through his example, Franklin learned lessons in patience, humility, and true leadership.
Though life took them on different paths, Franklin to the U.S., and Fedelis to Europe after a challenging incident in Yaoundé, their bond never faded. In a beautiful twist of fate, they reunited when Fedelis arrived unexpectedly at Franklin’s door in America, reigniting their lifelong friendship.
Today, Franklin is honored to stand by Fedelis’ side as he begins this new chapter with the love of his life. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, joy, and endless blessings.
