Q + A

I'm traveling from out of town, where can I stay?

We have a wedding discount with Courtyard Buffalo Downtown/Canalside. Please visit the "Travel" to book a room in advance and/or view additional hotel options.

Can I bring my child/children?

We decided to keep our wedding and reception an adults-only event. (The only exception are the little ones in our bridal party). We hope you understand and enjoy a night off!

Can I bring a guest/date?

If you have received a plus one, your guest's name will be listed on your invitation and will appear under your name when you RSVP. Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends & family.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is black-tie optional. Ladies commonly wear floor-length, tea-length, or midi formal dresses and gentlemen can wear suits or tuxedos. Ladies feel free to opt for summery, pastel hues and soft textures. Reach for romantic ruffles and shimmering details for an elevated statement and have fun with it!

Where is the ceremony?

The ceremony is at Our Lady of Victory Basilica in Lackawanna, NY. The ceremony will begin at 1:30PM, so please try to arrive by 1PM to get comfortably seated.

What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, there's about a two and a half hour chunk of time before cocktail hour at 5PM. Please feel free to return to your hotel room to refresh or check out all that Buffalo has to offer!

Where is the reception?

The reception is at The Buffalo History Museum - 1 Museum Ct, Buffalo, NY

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

The Buffalo History Museum offers free and accessible parking in the Museum’s adjacent lot. Cars can be left overnight in an effort to get home safely.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

The Basilica is wheelchair accessible via ramps and elevator. At the Buffalo History Museum, all galleries, entrances, and facilities are wheelchair and mobility-device accessible. The wheelchair-accessible entrance is located beyond the marble retaining wall, on the right side of the Museum as you look at it from the parking lot. There is an incline to approach this side entrance.

What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.
