Downtown Wilmington is a must visit! With plenty of breweries, bars, shopping, and live music you will not run out of things to check out. Our favorite thing to do is to take a stroll on the riverwalk by the water and then hit up Front Street Brewery for some great food and drinks.
Sitting right across the water from Downtown Wilmington is Battleship North Carolina. A refurbished World War II Battleship that serves as a memorial for the more than 11,000 North Carolinians who died throughout the war. With self-guided and guided tours available, explore the gunnery, sick bay, and engineering areas of the ship.
A Wilmington historic staple that has been deemed one of the best examples of antebellum architecture in the area. This home was built between 1859 and 1861 and is close to Downtown Wilmington also.
If you are looking for a relaxing activity, look no further than Airlie Gardens. Spend time strolling through picturesque trees and flowers and take in the natural beauty. Airlie is also known to have plenty of featured exhibits and events occurring year-round.
Wilmington has three nearby beach towns; Wrightsville Beach, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach. All three are great options to visit with each being completely unique from the other.
Wrightsville is probably our favorite spot. Check out some of its great waterfront restaurants and bars, beach boutiques, and pristine surroundings.
