Tate and I have a very unique story—one that’s rooted in growing up together. As kids, we went to the same school and had many mutual friends, but it wasn’t until freshman year of high school that we really became close. By sophomore year, in December of 2014, we started dating. At the time, we were so young and had no idea what was in store for our relationship. All we knew was that we were head over heels for each other and loved every moment we spent together.
When we graduated high school in 2017, Tate headed off to Kennesaw State University, and I went to the University of West Georgia. Despite the distance, we stayed strong, making it work through the years. Four years later, we both graduated college and began our careers, still by each other's side.
Our relationship has evolved in so many ways over the past 10 years—through the challenges of long distance, getting a dog, and even moving to a new city. We’ve grown up together, watched each other transform from kids into adults, to now becoming the best versions of ourselves. It was not always easy, but we were fortunate enough to learn from a young age how to fight for each other and always come out stronger on the other side. The love we felt as kids in high school has grown into something so beautiful, and now we’re so excited to continue growing together through marriage and building the life we’ve always dreamed of.
