Our Wedding Weekend

Welcome to our wedding weekend in beautiful Lake Mills. We are&nbsp;excited for everyone to be together to&nbsp;help us celebrate our special day. On our page you will find some of our favorite spots in our favorite little town we call home, located conveniently between Madison and Milwaukee. We were so happy to find a place that reminds us of our other favorite little town, Decorah, Iowa, where we first met at Luther College. We spend most of our summer&nbsp;weekends on Rock Lake, just a few blocks from the quaint town square. It's a great&nbsp;town filled with beaches, breweries, hiking, and biking.&nbsp;Check out some of our favorite spots&nbsp;(see things to do tab). We hope you all enjoy your weekend in Lake Mills and the surrounding area. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Details

The&nbsp;wedding ceremony, happy hour and&nbsp;reception will all be hosted at Bennett Barn. The outdoor ceremony will begin at 4:00pm. Following the ceremony will be&nbsp;happy hour & yard games, dinner,&nbsp;and&nbsp;dancing.&nbsp;

Shuttle bus transportation will be provided. Buses will leave Comfort Suites at 3:15pm and 3:25pm for Bennett Barn. The buses will leave&nbsp;the&nbsp;barn&nbsp;at&nbsp;9pm, 10pm, 11pm, and&nbsp;12am&nbsp;to take you back to the hotel.&nbsp;

Join us for live music on Friday!

We are&nbsp;having&nbsp;our favorite local band play&nbsp;at the Korth Park Pavilion on Friday night from 7pm - 9pm. Stop by and enjoy some beer,&nbsp;live&nbsp;music, and lake views! &nbsp;We can't wait to kick off the wedding weekend with you!

Shuttle service will be provided from the hotel to the barn for the ceremony and reception, and then back to the hotel at various times throughout the night. 

Shuttle buses&nbsp;will depart from the Comfort Suites hotel&nbsp;at 3:15pm and 3:25pm&nbsp;to Bennett Barn. Please meet the buses in the Comfort Suites parking lot at least&nbsp;5&nbsp;minutes before the departure time. Travel time between the hotel and the barn is 17 minutes.&nbsp;











Following the reception, shuttles will depart from the barn&nbsp;at&nbsp;9:00pm, 10:00pm, 11:00pm, and 12:00am and return to the hotel.&nbsp;











There is plenty of parking at the barn.&nbsp;You are welcome to leave your car overnight and catch the bus back to the hotel at the end of the night.&nbsp;Ubers are unreliable in our area.&nbsp;

Our favorite spots&nbsp;on Rock Lake are&nbsp;Bartel's Beach and&nbsp;Sandy Beach. These beaches are great for swimming and spending time by the water.&nbsp;For hiking, visit&nbsp;Korth Park.

Dog and Shrub Distillery

The Glacial Drumlin trail runs&nbsp;52 miles from Madison to Milwaukee.&nbsp;There are a few spots to get on the trail in Lake Mills. Great for hiking and biking!

Aztalan is a state park just outside of town with great views and historical landmarks.&nbsp;
