Kash and I first met while working at 80 Acre Market, in Gilmer, TX. I was home from college for the summer and decided to pick up a weekend job since my mom and sister-in-law were already working there.
On my first day, I couldn’t help but notice this super cute guy in a cowboy hat and wondered who he was. My mom, who already knew him, introduced us. Kash took off his hat, shook my hand, and introduced himself. In that moment, I thought, he was the kindest, most down to earth, and sweetest man I had ever met, and I knew there was something special about him. He kept hanging around by me, always finding a way to be with me, and making sure I was taken care of.
It didn’t take him long to ask for my number and then ask me on a date. From that moment on, we haven’t stopped talking—or being each other’s best friend.
The Y'Barbo and Peterman families, share a history of friendship, having gone to church together many years ago. Now, we’re so excited to bring our families back together—this time for a lifetime! On December 7, 2024 Kash popped the question and of course I said, YES! We cannot wait to start our life together, to serve the Lord together, and be partners for life. See you December 6, 2025 to witness us step into this next chapter together!
