Where to Eat
Bowen's Island
Casual seafood on the water with a stunning view.
Chubby Fish
Chubby Fish does not take reservations but is definitely worth the wait. If you have time go early Friday (4pm ish) to get a spot for later in the night and enjoy one of the best spots to eat in town.
High Cotton
Seems like a tourist trap but sitting at the bar is so so fun! Live music with great food, drinks and vibes!
Island Provisions
A great spot downtown for yummy smoothies, bagels, and sandwiches. Can order online for pick up too!
Leon's Oyster Shop
Leon’s is worth the hype! Rex recommends the chargrilled oysters with a fried chicken sammy or fried shrimp roll. Anna goes with the Siam salad add fried chicken and a side of scalloped potatoes.
Tattooed Moose
Easy place to bring kids because there is a large outside area. Amazing sandwiches here also!!
XO Brasserie
One of our favorite restaurants around town- best for a big group so you can enjoy more of the menu family style.
Where to Explore
Battery Park
A fun place to take a stroll and see the beautiful homes downtown. If we were you we would stop and get a coffee (and maybe a croissant) at Sorelle Mercado before and then finish up your walk at Blind Tiger for lunch.
Gibbes Museum of Art
Amazing art museum with phenomenal exhibits year round.
Golf
Some courses around town worth checking out: Links at Stono Ferry, Municipal Course, Kiawah, Wild Dunes
Hampton Park
Our favorite place to walk downtown!
Kiawah River
3883 Betsy Kerrison Parkway
Escape the bustle of downtown and enjoy the gorgeous views heading out to Kiawah River. Once you get there head over to Linette’s for a drink and a bite to eat! Pro Tip: On your way out head to Rosebank Farms for local treats!
South Carolina Aquarium
Such a fun aquarium for kids and adults! There is also a fun playground walking distance from here ideal for ages 2-10.
USS Yorktown
An immersive experience that tells the story of the historic ship!
Walk and Talk Charleston Tour
Book a private or public tour to learn about the history of Charleston in a fun and exciting way. (Exponentially better than the horse carriage tours) The team also offers a wide variety of tours from Pink Houses, art galleries, ghosts and more.
Where to Shop
Buxton Books
Quaint bookstore with funky finds!
Nette Shop
698 Rutledge Ave Unit 102
Anna’s favorite clothing boutique in town (that’s saying alot) Nette has elevated basics but mixes in unique show stopping pieces. Definitely worth checking out especially if you are walking around Hampton Park or are in search for a new pair of jeans ;)
Out Of Hand
Get a taste of Old Village at this adorable store with one of a kind pieces. Out of Hand has everything from clothes, skin care products, home goods and everything in between.
Wentworth
Right around the corner from Colonial Lake, Wentworth has one of the most beautifully curated home goods storefronts in Charleston.
Where to Sip
Bar Vauté
Speakeasy style bar with amazing cocktails and French bites.
Citrus Club
Rooftop bar of The Dewberry that shows you just why Charleston is known as the Holy City!
Graft Wine Shop + Wine Bar
A cute little wine shop that is near Tutti’s pizza, Leon’s, Melfi’s and more!
Harken Cafe
A fan favorite place to sip (coffee) and enjoy a pastry. If this location is too busy try their sister cafe- Harbinger
Royal American
Chill bar that usually has live music and good food!
