The Buffalo AKG Art Museum: An internationally recognized beacon of modern and contemporary art, the Albright Knox Art Gallery hosts an impressive collection of artworks from the late 19th century to the present day. Hours are extended and admission is free on the first Friday of the month, including on June 7th! Consider walking the Elmwood Village afterward.
Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House: An architectural masterpiece, the Martin House is one of Frank Lloyd Wright's finest contributions to the prairie house genre of the early 20th century. This national historic landmark offers tours that showcase Wright's innovative design principles, including his use of natural light, open living spaces, and harmonious integration with the surrounding landscape.
Canalside: Located at the heart of Buffalo's waterfront, Canalside is a lively, revitalized area brimming with activities, events, and historical attractions. The four decommissioned Naval vessels - USS The Sullivans, USS Little Rock, USS Croaker, and PTF-17 -at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval Park are something to behold.
The Buffalo Transportation Pierce-Arrow Museum: This museum is a wonder even for enthusiasts of automotive history, showcasing a vast collection of vehicles, bicycles, and memorabilia related to the Pierce-Arrow Motor Car Company and other aspects of Buffalo's transportation heritage. It's a journey through time for those fascinated by the evolution of transportation.

Niagara Falls State Park: Just a short drive from Buffalo, Niagara Falls State Park is one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Visitors can experience the majestic falls through various vantage points, boat tours, and observation decks, immersing themselves in the park's natural beauty and the powerful force of the water. Bring your passport if you wish to observe the Horseshoe Falls from the Canadian side.
Delaware Park & Forest Lawn: Designed by the renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, Delaware Park is the crown jewel of Buffalo's park system, offering a serene retreat with meadows, lakes, and forested areas. Adjacent Forest Lawn is a historic cemetery and arboretum that serves as the final resting place for many notable figures like Millard Fillmore and Rick James, featuring stunning monuments, sculptures, and a tranquil landscape.
Our Lady of Victory National Shrine and Basilica: This site combines spiritual majesty with natural beauty. Duff’s Famous Wings: An absolute must-visit for wing lovers, Duff’s has earned its reputation by offering a variety of sauces and heat levels. Whether it’s classic mild or the “death sauce”, Duff’s wings are to die for.
Kelly’s Korner: A lesser-known watering hole off the beaten Buffalo wing trail, Kelly’s Korner serves wings that achieve a perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and tenderness on the inside. The hot sauce in particular is very unique!
Gabriel’s Gate: In the historic Allentown district, Gabriel’s Gate offers a cozy tavern space filled with mounted animals & Native American statues. Their wings are consistently ranked among the best in the city for their size, flavor, and the perfect balance of sauce and crisp.

Founding Fathers: An establishment filled with presidential memorabilia, endless free popcorn, and excellent burgers and hot sandwiches. Founding Fathers’s Tuesday night trivia and fried bologna has won many hearts over the decades, including mine (Russ’s)!
Kostas: Serving up Greek and American cuisine, Kostas is known for its friendly service and homey atmosphere. Whether you're in the mood for a gyro, souvlaki, or a classic burger, Kostas delivers fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. A nice place for brunch or lunch after a walk down Hertel.
Mister Pizza: A staple for pizza lovers in Buffalo, Mister Pizza is renowned for its wide variety of pizzas made with quality ingredients and an eye for traditional and innovative toppings alike. Its standard pepperoni and cheese slice is anything but.
Steve’s Pig & Ox Roast: If you’re craving some hearty roast meats, Steve’s Pig & Ox Roast is the place to go. Known for their tender roast beef and pork sandwiches, they offer a comforting taste of home-cooked goodness. Just ask John Petrinec.
The Broadway Market: A culinary landmark in Buffalo, The Broadway Market is a vibrant space filled with vendors selling various foods, from fresh produce to ethnic delicacies, baked goods, and more. A longstanding Fiorella family tradition is paying a visit to the market during Holy Week to procure Easter goods, including horseradish-infused mustard, sauerkraut, sausages, butter lambs, and more.
Mississippi Mudds: Located on the Niagara River and Niawanda Park, Mississippi Mudds offers a scenic view to go along with your meal. Known for their casual fare such as hot dogs, burgers, and fries, it’s a great place to enjoy a meal outdoors. It is also a great place to stop by for an ice cream cone.
Parkside Candies: For those with a sweet tooth, Parkside Candies is an institution. Specializing in chocolates and sponge candy made using traditional methods, it’s a delightful place to pick up a treat or a gift.
