In another act of divine intervention, Anna Rose was invited to a work conference taking place in Seattle, putting her just three hours from where Benjamin was living. We met for dinner and it was a disaster. Unwilling to let that be the end of things, we tried again the next day with a morning walk through Chinatown and a ferry ride. By the third day Benjamin was making plans to move to Jackson, Mississippi.

With his his whole life packed into a two-man caravan, Benjamin made the five day trek from the scenic mountains of Washington across the continental divide and winding down the Mississipi River. Benjamin's move to the "big city" of Jackson has proved to be a gift neither of us could have predicted this time last year but nothing takes the Lord by suprise.

On September 7th, after evening prayer at GCC, Benjamin took Anna Rose to a sunset picnic. It was more than that. With a little trickery and a cherry pie, Benjamin proposed and Anna Rose somehow managed an intelligible "Yes."

We cannot wait to see all the Lord has in store, for us and those we love.
