Accommodations
We have reserved rooms for all guests for the night of the rehearsal dinner on May 12th and the night of the wedding, May 13th . Please check in no earlier than 3 pm on May 12th and check out no later than 10 am on May 14th.
What is the wedding day itinerary?
2 pm - Ceremony
2:30 pm - Canapes, Drinks, and Photographs
4 pm - Speeches
7:45 pm - Cake cutting and first dance
9 pm - Evening Buffet
Midnight - Entertainment finishes
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
We ask that you refrain from bringing a plus one unless indicated in the invitation. Thank you for your understanding!
What is the schedule of events for the wedding weekend?
May 12th - Rehearsal Dinner at Auchen Castle
May 13th - Wedding Ceremony and Reception at Auchen Castle
Will there be food served at your wedding?
There will be a 4 course wedding breakfast following the ceremony and evening buffet as well as appetizers and drinks throughout the day.
Will there be an open bar?
There is a bar open until midnight in the castle that you will be able to purchase drinks from whenever you want.
We will be providing wine and champagne with meals.
What is the dress code for the rehearsal dinner?
Dressy casual
What is the dress code for your wedding?
Semiformal
What will the weather be like?
From what we understand, the weather at this time of year in Scotland can be pretty variable. If there is sunshine and it's not too cold, we would like to have the ceremony outdoors. Otherwise, we will spend most of the wedding day in the castle.
Can I post wedding photos on social media?

We recommend obtaining tickets to Scotland ASAP for the best prices on tickets. You can fly into either Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport.
Glasgow Airport is located 64.2 miles from Auchen Castle (1 hr drive).
Edinburgh Airport is located 78.9 miles (1 hr 18 min drive)
