Brendan and Anna first crossed paths at boarding school in Syracuse, New York, where a quick and deep connection blossomed between them. Through late-night phone calls and exchanged notes, their bond grew stronger. Though their young love was strong, the pressures of life after graduation led them to part ways in 2008.

Fast forward to March 2023, when Brendan had relocated to Des Moines, Iowa, and Anna was living in St. Catharines, Ontario. Out of the blue, a mutual friend sent Anna a recent photo of Brendan, prompting her to reach out. They quickly reconnected, exchanging phone numbers and chatting for hours, as if no time had passed. Their bond was as genuine as ever, and it quickly became clear to Anna that Brendan was the one she was meant to be with.

In May 2023, they reunited in Toronto for the first time in 17 years. The time spent exploring the city together was unforgettable, and they made a promise to visit each other at least once a month. For the next eight months, they alternated visits, deepening their connection. In December 2023, Anna made the decision to move to Des Moines, Iowa to be with Brendan.

Since then, they’ve been inseparable, best friends and soulmates. On September 28, 2024, Brendan proposed, and Anna happily said yes. It’s incredible to think that their story started at 16, and 17 years later, they found each other again, ready to embark on a lifetime together. They are excited to share this special day with their loved ones and are immensely grateful for the love and support they’ve received along the way.
