In February 2021, Mom and Dad Thoelke came over to Grandma and Grandpa White’s house to get better acquainted with the church they would soon be joining. And by God’s will, Christian was there as well. As fate would have it, Christian jokingly asked Mom and Dad Thoelke if they had any daughters. Sure enough, they had three! Christian was quite amused by this and awaited the prospect of meeting these daughters. Then, in April 2021, Christian received a phone call from Annie where she asked him to go to a homeschool prom in Katy, TX. Christian accepted the invitation with a good measure of enthusiasm, thinking he would have a “good friend” by the end of the experience. Little did he know that it was only the beginning of a much more beautiful love story. In May 2021, both Mom Thoelke and Mom White agreed that Annie and Christian should meet before the prom so they could get familiar with each other. Christian took Annie to the Burger Joint and the two hit it off right away with a very lively conversation with no silent or awkward moments. Christian found himself quite entranced by Annie just after that dinner they shared and began to humor the possibility that they could maybe be more than just good friends. Then they had their prom together and it was very good for both Christian and Annie. The Sunday after their prom, multiple of Christian’s friends recognized that Annie would be an excellent match for him and Christian took their recognition to heart. Much of Annie’s family also recognized Christian as a suitable match for her and she did likewise. They went on multiple dates as “just friends” after the success of their prom and it seemed like the only thing that kept them from becoming official was their lack of knowledge on how to become official. Sure enough, on the night of June 25th, 2021 Christian asked Annie to be his girlfriend. She gave a resounding yes and Christiannie was born. The rest of their relationship they learned much more about each other and got to do several very fun things together including A&M football games, going to Disney World with Annie’s family and traveling to Nashville with Christian’s family. Both were very certain about marriage from the beginning of their relationship together, and their certainty became a reality on December 18th, 2024. There, Christian proposed to Annie and she said yes. They look forward to saying “I do” forever to each other.
