The Houston Zoo is a 55-acre zoological park located within Hermann Park in Houston, Texas, United States. The zoo houses over 6,000 animals from more than 600 species. It receives 2.1 million visitors each year and is the second most visited zoo in the United States.

The Cockrell Butterfly Center is well known for its immersive walk-through butterfly habitat. It is attached to the Houston Museum of Natural Science, which is known of its renowned dinosaur hall.

Space Center Houston is a science museum that serves as the official visitor center of NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. It was designated a Smithsonian Affiliate museum in 2014.

James Turrell's Twilight Epiphany Skyspace, built in 2012, is a pyramidal structure acoustically engineered to host musical performances and to act as a laboratory for Shepherd School of Music students. Constructed of grass, concrete, stone, and composite steel, the structure is equipped with an LED light sequence that projects onto the ceiling and through an aperture in the 72-foot square knife-edge roof during sunrise and at sunset.

The Twilight Epiphany light sequence can be viewed every day at sunrise and sunset. The sunrise light sequence begins approximately 40 minutes before sunrise and the Sunset light sequence begins about 10 minutes before sunset and lasts approximately 40 minutes.

Originally Downtown Houston's historic post office, Post now operates as a hub for shopping, entertainment, dining, concerts and events.

The market atrium features an "O" double-helix staircase and iconic X stairs in the retail portion, which act as a stage for performances in between regular foot traffic from guests grabbing a bite to eat. Hungry patrons have a variety of popular shops to choose from.

Atop the building Post features a rooftop park and farm that showcase downtown views.

Anna and Edwin love frequenting this Chinese BBQ joint. They often have live music or they will open the mic for patrons to sing karaoke. We love coming here to munch on lamb, chicken skewers, grilled squid, and grilled chives while listening to Chinese music.

Toukei Izakaya is a full service Japanese Bar and Restaurant located in the Asia-town District. Edwin especially loves sampling the various Japanese whiskeys and Anna enjoys sipping the Japanese style cocktails offered here. We both enjoy the multitude of grilled offerings here.

Genji Restaurant and Karaoke Bar is Anna and Edwin's "home away from home." They enjoy coming here late at night to munch on Japanese cuisine and drinks while people watching or singing the night away in the main room. We love the casual feel of the space and often run into friends while hanging out here.
