The Kancamagus Highway is a 34.5 mile scenic drive along NHs Rt. 112 in Northern New Hampshire that is well known as one of the best Fall Foliage viewing areas in the country. The Kancamagus Highway is now designated an American Scenic Byway for its rich history, aesthetic beauty and culture. We drove through this on our way to initially tour our wedding venue and fell in love. We highly recommend going for a cruise and stopping to see the sights!
Soar 750 feet across the Pemigewasset River, and then back across the river to return to the Adventure Center! Online reservation is required.
Conquer the wilderness-themed obstacles including Side Stumps, Log Roll, Granite Wall, Swinging Nest, and the Warped Mountain Wall! Ninja Wild is in the elements, outside of the Governor Adams Lodge. Sessions are limited, so book yours early, before they sell out.
Ride miles of downhill biking trails in the beautiful White Mountain National Forest! There are trails ranging from beginner to expert. Bike rentals and lesson packages are available.
Want to go for a scenic bike ride instead of downhill mountain biking? This is for you! Explore the paved Lincoln Loop Trail or pedal along the famous Kancamagus Highway through the White Mountain National Forest. Bikes are available to rent at the resort.
Home to some of the best rock climbing terrain, challenge yourself to big wall climbs in the Mount Washington Valley, Franconia Notch, and Crawford Notch. They also offer indoor climbing areas! Please note this is not included in the complimentary resort pass as this activity is next door to the resort, at The Mountain Club on Loon hotel.
The Old Man of the Mountain was first discovered in 1805. He watched over the state of New Hampshire until he came tumbling down in 2003. He is remembered at the historic site, located at the foot of the mountain he had fallen from. Come learn a piece of New Hampshire history! Please note this is a separate activity from the complimentary day pass you will receive on the day of our wedding.
Enjoy a 1.3 mile scenic ride to the summit of Loon Peak. There is a café at the top of the mountain at 2,700’ up with beautiful 360° views. This activity is included in your day pass to the resort and how you will get up to the ceremony site.
Enjoy a 1 mile boardwalk trail and explore waterfalls, glacial boulder caves, gemstone mining, suspension bridge, treehouses, a giant birds nest, and observe the beauty of Lost River and Kinsman Notch! You can find these caves at the top of Loon Mountain. This activity is included in your day pass to the resort!
The resort has an alpine-style disc golf course in the White Mountain National Forest! This 18 hole disc golf course takes you from the summit to the top of the Kancamagus lift. You can chose to hike or take the chairlift down after finishing the course. You can bring your own discs or rent from Loon Mountain Resort.
Take in the spectacular views from Mt. Moosilauke to Mt. Washington! Board the White Mountain Express Gondola to Loon Peak Summit for Herbert's Observation Tower. Located to the right of the Gondola and beside the Summit Cafe, the observation tower offer breathtaking 360° views.
Take in the expansive mountain views and fresh air as you walk along the wooden boardwalk and nature path. Stop at the interpretive panels along the path and learn about the local animals, plants and environment. Located to the right of the Gondola and beside the Summit Cafe, just passed Herbert's Observation Tower.
