Our story started out as acquaintances at Midtown Church in Kansas City, Missouri. We enjoyed talking in passing, but didn’t know each other well. Then, on October 28th, 2023, we hit it off at the most romantic place imaginable – a 2-year-old’s birthday party. We talked for almost two hours about books, music, movies, and our favorite hot beverages. Corbin promised to bring Anna an assortment of teas the next day at church, but was too excited about their new spark and forgot to bring the tea. Fortunately, Anna’s friend Molly came to the rescue later that week and brought her the tea, and just a week later our first date was decided: November 9th at the Monogram Lounge. The evening flew by and we talked for three hours. Anna knew things were off to a good start when Corbin asked if she had future dissertation ideas “floating around in her brain”.

Throughout the next year, Corbin and Anna’s relationship grew through our common faith and values, our love for our families, and through the many joyful experiences we’ve shared. Corbin proposed to Anna on November 16th, 2024 at Loose Park, the spot where we’d had our third date and made our relationship official. We are beyond excited to get married and combine our lives in Kansas City. We are blessed to have such wonderful family, friends, and church community and cannot wait to celebrate alongside you all at our wedding!
