Our Story

Annie and Michael met the night of October 2, 2021. Both the bride and groom were out with friends at their favorite Milwaukee bar, The Harp. When their friend groups merged due to some mutual connections, Michael saw Annie and began a conversation. Their rapport was instant and they spent their night out chatting and dancing. At the end of the night, Michael got Annie’s number and invited her to play pickleball the next morning (she declined and he may or may not have made it there himself). For the next two days, Annie and Michael texted back and forth (and told their respective friends about “bangs girl” and “Michael from the Harp”). Michael asked Annie to dinner but Annie (not sure about going on a date with someone she met on a night out) played hard to get for a few days. She couldn’t deny that she was interested however, and they went on their first date to Dorsia for some amazing flights of pasta on October 6. Once again, the chemistry was instant and the conversation flowed for hours. From that point on, they were inseparable. They went on dates and hung out every day the rest of that week and texted whenever they were apart. Annie even told some friends after their Saturday golf date “this boy is husband material.” They started officially dating on November 8. When Michael got offered a new job in MN after they had been dating for just 5 months, Annie knew she wanted to go with him since they couldn’t see their lives without each other. Over the course of their relationship, their love has deepened, they have become part of each other families, and they have learned what true love and best friendship truly is. They cannot wait to finally be joined in marriage with everyone they love surrounding them!
