In His Time

Picture of In His Time

Sometimes God writes love stories in the most unexpected places.

One Saturday night at a Lauren Daigle concert, Brandon Lake took the stage to sing “Gratitude.” In the crowd, Annalee’s heart was stirred—not just by the music, but by a quiet moment of worship in front of her. A man stood with one hand raised to heaven, the other wrapped around his wife and child. It was a picture of steady, humble faith and the kind of love that leads.

Through tears, Annalee turned to her mom and said, “That is what I want.” In that moment, she knew—she was praying for a husband who would love Jesus deeply and lead with quiet strength.

Just a few months later, her twin brother Andrew brought someone home. At first, Andrew was just excited about finding a new hunting buddy. But God had a bigger plan. His new friend, Landon, would soon become part of the family in a much deeper way.

Even before their first date, Annalee and Landon spent time talking about faith, values, and the kind of relationship they each wanted. Those early conversations revealed something special: a shared desire to grow in Christ, to build a relationship rooted in prayer and purpose.

From their very first date, it was clear—God had been preparing them for each other.

Now, as they walk forward together, they carry with them the hope that their love might one day inspire someone else. Maybe at another concert, another song, another moment—someone will look up and say,
“Lord, that’s what I want.”
