Chaz and Annamarie met when they were both attending PA school at Nova Southeastern University in Orlando, Florida. Although, they were not in the same class, the two became friends through their passion for mission work in Guatemala. During Chaz's third trip to Guatemala with Hands of Esperanza and Annamarie's second, their friendship blossomed, and, quickly, became more than they could ever imagine. When they got back to the US, Annamarie graduated from Nova Southeastern University and Chaz asked Annamarie on their first official date. From that moment forward they knew this would be something special. The admiration they had for each other only grew their profound connection that they had from the start. Even though Annamarie moved across the state with her parents, 3 hours away, they continued to make the effort to spend time with each other. Later, Annamarie moved back to Orlando to start her first job, as they continued to see each other weekly over that next year. Chaz and Annamarie both knew they wanted to be closer to each other so she moved to Port Orange. They both worked at the same hospital and eventually built their first home. On December 16, 2022 Chaz proposed to Annamarie. He spent weeks building up to the big moment by placing notes in her Christmas stocking. In one of the notes he asked her to dinner. When they returned to their home, there was one final note written, which ended as he got down on one knee to propose to Annamarie! They are are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together and cannot wait to celebrate on their wedding day with all of you.
